David Summerbell Jnr. is an internationally accomplished and recognized driver, with over eighteen years of experience and almost as many racing titles to his credit.

Introduced to racing by his father, himself a veteran racer, David has raced and won on everything from go-karts to motorcycles to formula cars. He can list titles that few others can boast:

  • Three time Caribbean Circuit racing Champion

  • Three time JMMC Sprint National Champion
  • Three time JMMC Dexterity National Champion
  • 2006 JMMC Rally Team Champion

  • Winner of Jamaica International Stages Rally
  • Holder of track record at Dover Race Way, St. Ann, Jamaica

In addition to racing titles the name David Summerbell is synonymous with relentless determination and energy. While recognized as the most accomplished driver in the island, it is his signature charismatic personality that encourages legions of supporters to come out to his races and participate with him in the most watched sport in the world. Not only do they come to see his driving skills but they are always fascinated with the machine he’s driving!

David wears two hats in racing, that of driver and of organizer. He has been an active member of the JRDC executive since 2004, holding the post of secretary for 4 consecutive years. Along with the other members of the executive David has had a hand in considerable renovations to the track and its facilities as well as in the various initiatives and strategies which have helped return circuit racing to primacy in Jamaican auto sport.

With a long history of success in racing, and following on the achievements of the JRDC, David intends to continue to serve motor sport by racing his best and in giving back to the sport by building and developing motor racing for future generations.
